Resin for a Reason "Making strides for Breast Cancer"

Resin for a reason started their first fundraising campaign for breast cancer in the month of October. We raised over $1000 for breast cancer from resin sales and generous donations, in just 2 weeks! Your support means so much to me and my family. In 2016 I lost my mother to metastatic breast cancer. In 1999 she was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer and beat it. She was cancer free for 15yrs before being diagnosed with incurable breast cancer (metastatic). She never gave up on life or me, that's why I will never give up on sharing her legacy and spreading awareness about breast cancer. Despite Buffalo's chilly and rainy weather October 16th 2021, 3,000 people, including cancer survivors, walked two miles along Buffalo's Outer Harbor to support the cause. My team walked in memory of my mother Lori, to Honor her legacy.

This year alone, just under 300,000 women have been diagnosed with breast cancer.

The making strides against breast cancer walk in Buffalo, N.Y raised more than $250,000 dollars. For more than two decades, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer has helped communities in the fight against this disease and funded breakthrough research. In 2021, more than 281,500 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and 43,600 will die from the disease this year. About 2,650 men are also expected to be diagnosed with breast cancer this year, with 530 deaths.

Today, Making Strides is the largest network of breast cancer events in the nation. You can still donate to the Making Strides Buffalo through the American Cancer Society. For more information, visit www.MakingStridesWalk.org/Buffalo or call the American Cancer Society at 1-800-227-2345.
